I just felt that I had to comment on the terrible situation in Victoria, Australia. What a shockingly awful thing to happen to those poor people.
My heart goes out to them all, and they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Are you all ready for the second 'wave' of snow forecast for tonight and tomorrow? What a winter this is!
I will try to work out how to post photo's on the blog, and get some done of what I'm stitching. I'm fairly new to all this computer stuff, so it might take a little while! As they say - watch this space!!
Have a happy, stitching day!!

I have sciatica - and it is painful! My foot is sore and swollen, and so is my calf. I have to have a back scan before they can treat it, so I'm on painkillers for now.
Well, we didn't get as much snow as everyone else did! It is always the same - a few flakes and there is panic!
As husband is working nights, I managed to do a fair bit of stitching last night. I re-started 'Oh Little Town', and when the dark fabric I'm stitching on got the better of my eyes, I carried on with the Jane Austen Sampler, which is stitched one over one on cream linen. It was a good stitching evening, and I enjoyed it.
I didn't get to bed until nearly 1a.m. and left our cat Freddie fast asleep on 'his' arm chair. At 3a.m. he decided it was playtime. Have you ever tried to sleep with a huge purring cat jumping on you? Not to be recommended!
Hope you are all keeping warm and safe!

Well, the snow has arrived! What a lovely day to stay inside and stitch!! Husband works on the motorway - he supervises now, after many, many years of driving gritters. So, with all this white stuff, he has to work nights this week. At this rate though, he might not be able to get to work later!! It's snowing heavily and the roads are a nightmare......
After another non-stitching weekend, I am fired up and ready to stitch today! I 'found' and owl design last week, put away in the cupboard, and thought I might continue with that - until I found a HUGE mistake, and decided that it was destined for the bin. I will start again when I have found the right shade of twilight blue fabric - I have some somewhere! The design is 'Oh Little Town' by Pollyanna Pickering.
There is also a sampler I would like to make a start on - 'No Bees No Honey' by Birds Of A Feather, stitched on 32 count Barn Owl linen with Gentle Art Sampler Threads. It is all ready to start and I am sorely tempted to start it right now!
Well, it is time for a cup of tea and to gaze out of the window at the snow - I am so glad I don't have to go out in it today!!
Keep warm and happy stitching!
